Once the servant had left, Aurelia Shaw jumped out of bed with surprisingly nimble legs, walked out of the room, looked left and right, and seeing no one in the hallway, she tiptoed to push open Clara Philips’ room door and slipped inside deftly.
She rummaged through every cabinet, but still couldn’t find the bank card Clara Philips had withheld from her.
Could it be Clara Philips didn’t hide it in the room?

Aurelia Shaw found her bank card and was about to leave when she noticed a small red notebook tucked beneath it.
Aurelia Shaw was curious, took it out and opened it for a look, and when she understood what it was, her pupils widened in surprise, and then narrowed dangerously and coldly the next moment.

Ha, she actually hid away the property deed!
This property, she had never heard of before, and guessed it was something Dad meant to give to her but didn’t anticipate Clara withholding it! Does she want to sell it privately? Or keep it for her daughter Jovana Shaw?
Aurelia Shaw didn’t expect to have another gain this trip. She wedged the bank card into the property deed, slipped them both into her pocket, closed the secret compartment disguised as if no one had ever been there, quietly and quickly slipped out and returned to her own bedroom.
As she pushed the door open, Aurelia Shaw was about to exhale in relief when she glimpsed a figure sitting on the sofa, suddenly tightening her breath once more. Mason Nightshade lifted his gaze hearing the noise, glanced at her, seemingly noticing the brief unnatural expression on her face, his all-seeing dark eyes narrowing deeply.
He asked, "Where did you go?"
"Why are you up here, have you eaten enough?" Aurelia Shaw dodged his question, limped awkwardly inside, the earlier moment of panic already calmly masked by her composed face.
"Didn’t feel like watching them act downstairs."
Mason Nightshade remarked, choosing not to pursue his previous question.
Aurelia Shaw glanced up at him, "You know how to act too, don’t you? Why not join them, I bet it would be quite a show."
Mason Nightshade felt no guilt at all for speaking poorly about his father-in-law behind his back, instead laughing with shameless charm, "I agree my acting’s good, so I shouldn’t waste it. I’m planning to snag a role in ’Dawnsong,’ honey, what do you think?"
Aurelia Shaw rolled her eyes, "A good CEO decided not to work, and you run off to act in movies; filming isn’t just fooling around, and ’Dawnsong’ is almost done filming. You plan to play a background character? I’m not trying to discourage you, but even background roles take talent."
"Honey, I knew you’d care for me." Mason Nightshade sat on the sofa nonchalantly, long legs crossed, head resting on his hand, looking at Aurelia Shaw with a charming smile, stroking his own face, bragging jokingly, "My face, playing a background character, isn’t that just making background characters jealous?"
