Aurelia laughed, "Did I? You must have misheard. I didn’t mention any names, how do you know I was talking about you?"
"Do you know what a beast is?" Mason Nightshade’s lips curled up in a roguish smile, "Today I can show you what a real beast is.
"Do you feel right bullying a patient?"
"The patient is just asking for it, constantly provoking me. If I don’t teach her a lesson, how can I be her man?" Mason glanced at her bandaged leg as he spoke, but he still shifted his leg to the side to avoid her injured leg.
Aurelia abruptly grabbed Mason’s wrist, her cat-like eyes cold as she challenged him, "Why don’t you go downstairs and find Jovana Shaw? She probably hasn’t left yet. If you go now, you still might catch her."
Mason furrowed his brows and looked up, his eyes still holding a smoldering heat, "What would I find her for?"
"Last night, didn’t she come to your room in her pajamas to ask for help with some questions? The two of you can find a room to ’discuss’ them privately."
Mason was momentarily stunned, then laughed at the thought, "Aurelia, are you jealous?"
That night she acted so normal, he truly thought she didn’t mind at all. But perhaps somewhere deep down, that little incident did bother her a bit? Otherwise, she wouldn’t bring it up now.
Mason couldn’t quite describe his feelings, but at this moment, he, who was generally more mature than his peers, felt as delighted as a child.
Suddenly, Aurelia leaned in, placing her nose close to Mason’s mouth, sniffing. Mason didn’t expect her to approach him , and his body stiffened with a small hint of anticipation. He remained still, allowing her to nuzzle around his chin like a little rabbit.
His deep eyes fixed on her rosy lips, and with great restraint, he held himself back from kissing her.
"No smell of alcohol, so why are you not thinking clearly?" Aurelia muttered to herself.
"What did you say?" Mason caught her chin and lifted it, "I’m not thinking clearly?"
Aurelia opened her mouth, about to speak, but as soon as she did, his burning lips suddenly pressed down, his dominant presence overwhelming her. His strong arms wrapped around her waist, intensifying the passionate, forceful kiss.
He was always forceful in these matters. No matter how indifferent, ruthless, or disdainful he appeared in other things, she could always feel his passion in a kiss.
Deceptive, making you think this man truly fell for you.
Aurelia sneered inwardly and bit down hard on his lip.
The taste of blood filled their mouths. Mason grunted in pain, finally releasing her and retreating, watching her breathless, flushed face with a roguish smile on his lips.
"I accidentally lost my senses a bit, so I did something irrational. Please forgive me, madam," he said unapologetically.
Aurelia frowned fiercely.
He was clearly using her words to deflect!
