The next morning, Shu Wan went to the film set as usual.
Given last night’s trending search, everyone’s gaze towards Shu Wan was quite peculiar.
On one hand, they feared the capital backing Lady Shu, and on the other hand, they deeply despised her for becoming a stepmother at such a young age.
Regardless of whether the looks were good or bad, Shu Wan received them all and continued to act seriously.
It was Qin Yu, though, who didn’t seem to be in good shape today.
After the filming was interrupted once again, Qin Yu apologized to the director with a gesture, "Sorry, I need to adjust my state."
"Okay, rest for five minutes."
As the director finished speaking, Shu Wan was about to get some water but was stopped by Qin Yu grabbing her arm.
Shu Wan was taken aback and instinctively shook Qin Yu off, "Do you need something?"
Seeing the coldness in Shu Wan’s eyes, a hint of hurt flashed across Qin Yu’s face, "You’re married."
"Is there a problem?"
"Then you previously," Qin Yu stopped midway, seemingly in pain as he bit his lip, "you were like that."
"What’s wrong with me?" Shu Wan was very puzzled. She remembered that aside from filming, she had little to do with Qin Yu, but why did he look as if she had let him down?
"You probably don’t like that person," Qin Yu immersed in his own world said, "but now you’re married, you shouldn’t be anymore, in the future, please keep your distance from me."
After he spoke, without waiting for Shu Wan to reply, Qin Yu turned and walked away.
Shu Wan frowned slightly; she had just observed Qin Yu’s expression and behavior—he didn’t seem insane. What was he talking about?
"Alright, are you rested? Let’s continue filming."
Poor Shu Wan didn’t even have a chance to take a sip of water. Her entire break was wasted on this incomprehensible conversation.
During the rest of the shoot, even though Qin Yu adjusted his state, he still harbored an intermittent hostility towards Shu Wan.
Fortunately, the characters of the two in the drama didn’t have much spark to begin with, even harboring a hint of hostility, so the filming didn’t pose much of a problem.
As the filming progressed, Shu Wan spent increasingly longer periods on set.
She basically arrived at the film set every morning at 8:30, not only to act but also to continuously discuss with the director about adapting the script.
During her free time on set, Shu Wan would study with a stack of exam papers.
It was then that everyone remembered Shu Wan had dropped out of college before, proclaiming that she would retake the college entrance exam.
Now, seeing Shu Wan both acting and studying, someone couldn’t help but ask curiously, "Lady Shu, isn’t there more than a year left before the next college entrance exam? Do you need to work so hard?"
Shu Wan looked up, her eyes clear, "Who said I’m taking next year’s exam?"
"Ah, then the year after next there’s even less to worry about, you have two years,"
"No, I plan to take it this year."
With one sentence, Shu Wan’s words worked like magic, leaving the staff standing there as if they were petrified.
"This, this year?" the staff was stunned, "But there’s only one month left, right?"
"Yes, I’m preparing for this year’s exam."
Up until now, Shu Wan had systematically revised for over two months. Although not every moment was spent studying, she used almost every spare moment to read.
Shu Wan was confident that with another month of review, there shouldn’t be a problem.
However, to others, Shu Wan didn’t seem much different from a lunatic.
