Once Fu Yang finished speaking, he feared that Shu Wan might misunderstand that he was commenting on her popularity. "I’m not complimenting you on being popular, I just don’t want others to see me hanging out with you. Don’t overthink it."
Shu Wan raised her eyebrows slightly but said nothing more, lowering her head to look at the script in her hands.
Upon returning to the estate, Fu Yang hurried upstairs to play video games while Shu Wan followed behind, reminding him, "Although I don’t understand cosplay, since you’re going to play a role, you’d better understand all the characteristics of the character."
Just like acting, if you don’t grasp the character’s traits well, then no matter how exquisite the costume or the makeup, it’s all form without spirit.
Fu Yang paused in his steps, "There you go again, always so old-fashioned."
No sooner had he spoken than Fu Yang went straight upstairs.
Shu Wan headed to the study. She had just taken out the test papers and was getting ready to work on them when her phone rang.
Shu Wan glanced at the caller ID and saw it was Fu Siyu.
"Good evening," Shu Wan answered the video call and placed her phone on a stand to the side, then waved to Fu Siyu on the screen.
In the video, Fu Siyu was still in his suit, his demeanor calm, the light tracing gentle arcs across his face, "Good evening, have you had dinner yet?"
"Not really in the mood." Perhaps she was too busy, so busy that even her appetite had diminished, "I’m not very hungry."
"Still reviewing for the college entrance exam?" Fu Siyu’s gaze fell on the set of real exam papers in front of Shu Wan, "Looking at the test papers you’re doing, it seems you’re in the final stages of preparation."
"Yes," Shu Wan nodded, "I’ve reviewed the basic content once, now I’m doing a comprehensive review."
"Look at the fifth row, second shelf," Fu Siyu instructed, "there should be a large box of materials there."
Shu Wan went to the bookshelf following Fu Siyu’s directions and found a large box.
She moved the box over and saw it was full of neatly arranged notebooks and collections of mistakes.
"These are summaries of error-prone question types and notes I made during my final review before the college entrance exam," Fu Siyu’s voice came from the phone, "you might find them useful."
Shu Wan flipped open a notebook and was immediately impressed by the elegant handwriting and clear logical problem-solving process, "This is really useful."
Shu Wan now had a good grasp of the knowledge structure required for the exam; she needed a systematic and deeper level of review.
In some ways, Fu Siyu’s way of thinking and learning ability were very similar to hers.
So these notes from Fu Siyu were incredibly useful to her.
They could at least save her a great deal of review time.
"As long as you find them helpful."
"However, I’ve heard that you’ve always been an excellent student, promoted all the way through. Why did you take part in the college entrance exam?"
"Perhaps it was youthful arrogance, wanting to prove myself?" A hint of amusement flickered in Fu Siyu’s eyes.
"Youthful arrogance?" Shu Wan repeated Fu Siyu’s words.
Although she knew that everyone grew up step by step, it was still difficult for Shu Wan to imagine what Fu Siyu would have been like when he was proud and youthful.
"Can’t imagine it, can you?"
"It’s not that, just, a bit curious."
"In the bottom drawer on your right, there are photos of me from when I was in school."
Shu Wan opened the drawer and indeed, found many photos inside.
She picked up the photos and looked at them before raising her head to compare them to Fu Siyu, a hint of surprise in her eyes for a rare moment.
"A surprise?" Fu Siyu’s eyes carried a hint of mirth,
"A little," Shu Wan nodded.
During his school days, Fu Siyu always wore a white uniform and his facial features resembled those of Fu Yang, but he possessed a sense of stability that Fu Yang lacked.
Standing under the lush parasol tree, bathed in sunlight, his figure was straight; he fit everyone’s imagination of a campus idol.
