Shu Wan was merely stating a fact, yet Zhao Yan took it as a consolation, "Thank you, Lady Shu, for staying with me all the way to the hospital. I will remember your kindness."
"You’re welcome." Shu Wan glanced at the time, "I’ll come check on the situation again once it stabilizes. I’ll head back first."
"Okay, thank you." Zhao Yan was exhausted and had no desire to see Shu Wan off, "Then I won’t walk you out."
Instead of going directly home after leaving the hospital, Shu Wan went to the hotel where Liu Zhaodi was staying.

With that, the man stood up, switched the cigarette to his left hand, and held out his right hand, intending to shake hands with Shu Wan.
Shu Wan glanced at his nicotine-stained fingers, her eyes chilling slightly as she ignored his gesture and turned back to Liu Zhaodi, "Didn’t I tell you that you can’t be exposed to secondhand smoke?"
"It’s fine," Liu Zhaodi hastily explained, afraid Shu Wan would reprimand her son. "I can’t smell the smoke. This is my son, Liu Yang, a graduate of a prestigious university, now a senior executive at a Fortune 500 company. He’s very impressive."
Liu Yang, listening to his mother’s introduction, couldn’t hide his pride. He smiled at Shu Wan, revealing teeth stained yellow by smoking, despite his young age, "Hello, thank you for taking care of my mom.
