Transmigrated as the Stepmother of a Rebellious Heir Chapter 399

Fu Siyu was held up with company business today and hadn’t returned to the Estate yet.

Fu Yang’s final exams were a bit later than Shu Wan’s, but not by much, probably next week. On a whim, Shu Wan decided to check Fu Yang’s homework.

And then she realized that it was indeed necessary to do so.

The difficulty gap between junior high and high school knowledge was significant, and high school had even added several new subjects. Without careful attention, even a naturally gifted student could fall far behind.

Fu Yang was the type who intentionally didn’t want to study, especially since the start of the school year coincided with Fu Siyu’s return to the country.

Fu Yang clearly wanted to be contrary to Fu Siyu, so even though he went to school, he would just sleep through classes, not listening at all.

Later, the relationship between Fu Yang and Fu Siyu improved somewhat. Fu Yang wanted to start paying attention in class but found himself too far behind to understand what was being taught.

With his personality, if he didn’t understand, he would just let it be and became increasingly negligent in his studies.

So much so that facing a few not-so-difficult questions Shu Wan had given him, Fu Yang failed to solve any of them.

Shu Wan’s expression immediately turned cold.

Normally, Shu Wan hardly ever showed a cold face; she was amiable towards others and seemed to have a good temper. But when her expression cooled, the authority she projected could almost rival that of Fu Siyu.

Originally nonchalant, Fu Yang, seeing Shu Wan , subconsciously felt guilty, "Can you blame me? I just can’t understand what the teacher says in class."

Fu Yang would have been better off not trying to justify himself. With such an excuse, he felt the atmosphere around him turn colder, which frightened him so much that he didn’t dare to continue what he was saying.

"With your intelligence, even if you had no teacher, a single read-through of the material should not have resulted in this."

Shu Wan, of course, knew that educating a child couldn’t be all about criticism, so she established her authority first, given Fu Yang’s personality that preferred a soft approach, and then offered him a carrot.

Sure enough, upon hearing what Shu Wan said, a trace of smugness appeared on Fu Yang’s face, "Of course, if I actually study, I could definitely do very well on the exams."

"The exams are just around the corner, and you still don’t know the basics," Shu Wan said, pointing to the several thick notebooks on the table, "You don’t need to go to school for these next few days. Stay home and memorize these until you’re done."

Fu Yang knew Shu Wan was about to threaten him again, so he didn’t say anything, just quietly waited for the forthcoming punishment.

But Shu Wan just said half of what she wanted and then stopped. Initially, Fu Yang didn’t care much, but being left hanging piqued his anxiety. "What if I can’t memorize it all?"

"If you can’t memorize it," Shu Wan paused for a moment, "then you won’t have to be my model anymore."

"....." Fu Yang’s expression darkened, "I didn’t even like taking pictures to begin with. You think that was some great favor or what?"

Whether or not Shu Wan believed Fu Yang’s words, she left the conversation there and went straight upstairs, leaving Fu Yang standing alone in the living room.

Only when Shu Wan’s figure completely disappeared on the second floor did Fu Yang let out a sigh of relief and, with a look of distress, sank onto the sofa.

Although in the beginning, Fu Yang had been very reluctant to be Shu Wan’s model for the photo shoots, to the point that Shu Wan had to strike a deal with him to get his agreement,

gradually, though he wouldn’t admit it, Fu Yang actually began enjoying when Shu Wan asked him to go for shoots.

Because before the shoots, Shu Wan would always take him shopping, buying clothes, shoes, and accessories, greatly making up for the envy he felt as a child watching others being fussed over by their relatives.

The photo shoots were usually set in beautiful and unique places. After shooting, Shu Wan would take Fu Yang around to stroll and wander.

No matter how haughtily Fu Yang strutted about each time, he was genuinely happy inside.

Now Shu Wan was using this as leverage against him, Fu Yang naturally couldn’t resist.

He picked up a notebook and flipped it open, then froze because the handwriting inside included both Fu Siyu’s and Shu Wan’s.

This was not some reading note, but rather a sort of "lecture note" written on paper.

The lecturers were Fu Siyu and Shu Wan, and as for the student, there was only Fu Yang.
