Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde Chapter 11

"Elena, this civilian is different. His genes are extremely pure."

"He has a pure human bloodline, incredibly pure, just like the people who lived on Holy Terra in ancient times," said Atoria.

"So, Sister, what exactly do you want to do?" asked Elena.

"For over thirty thousand years, humanity has been colonizing the galaxy—from the Age of Terra, the Age of Technology, the Golden Age, the Age of Darkness, the Emperor's Great Crusade, to the ten thousand years of the Imperium."

"Humanity has colonized and inhabited countless planets. Some people have never even lived on a planet their entire lives, instead being born aboard starships, even within the Warp itself."

"People born on radiation-filled planets, exposed to various forms of radiation, mutant viruses, and the corruption of Chaos, have led to the emergence of numerous abhuman species, mutants, and psykers."

"Ordinary civilians, whether from forge worlds, hive worlds, agri-worlds, or even paradise worlds, have all been affected to some extent, causing their genes to lose purity."

"A human with extremely pure bloodline genes has become incredibly rare."

"If possible, we should do our best to preserve this. At the very least, we should ensure that his genes continue to be passed on, so that the pure human lineage may survive," Atoria said.

Her older sister was Sisters Famulous, a member of the Nobles' Sisterhood. Her sister had once told her that a human with a pure genetic lineage commanded an astronomical price among the nobility.

The nobles were desperately trying to enhance the purity of their human bloodlines—especially the nobility of Holy Terra.

Thus, this man possessed unimaginable value. Every pureblood human's genes must be carefully preserved. And according to the genetic test just conducted—

This man's genetic purity was the highest she had ever seen in any human. It was even possible that only those born and raised on Holy Terra among the Imperial nobility might have a higher blood purity than him.

How he came to exist was unknown, but without a doubt, he was a treasure. His genes did not belong to him alone; they belonged to all of humanity.

"I think I understand what you mean now. But our escape pod probably won't be able to fit him, unless one of us is willing to give up our chance to leave," Elena nodded and said.

If it came down to it, then the sister scribe should complete the mission while she remained behind, allowing this ancient and pure-blooded human to take a seat in the escape pod.

"No! While his bloodline is pure, it is not worth your sacrifice. We only need to obtain some of his genetic material."

His bloodline was pure, but what truly mattered was not the person himself—it was his genes that were truly precious.

Elena heard this and glanced at the cryo-vault she carried, which contained the genetic seeds of the Space Marines.

"Obtain his genetic material? How exactly are we supposed to do that?!"

That commoner was just an ordinary human!

He hadn't undergone the nineteen surgical augmentations—how could he have genetic seeds? Those were something exclusive to Space Marines!

"I was just trying to phrase it more delicately, Elena. What I mean by 'genetic seed' is… well, you know," Atoria said with a playful wink.

"Ah! Y-You mean... this... I-I understand now. Should we go talk to him and ask for his cooperation?"

"Do you have a container to store his genetic material?" Atoria asked.

Unlike the genetic seeds of the Space Marines, this man's genetic material was fragile and had to be cryogenically preserved.

But the cryo-vault they had was already occupied—holding the genetic material of over seventy Space Marines. There could be no mistakes with those.

"Then… what do we do? Are we supposed to give up a Space Marine's genetic seed?" Elena asked.

"No. The genetic seeds of the Space Marines must never be abandoned."

"Actually, we do have a way to store his genetic material. We can each take a sample and carry it with us," Atoria said with a sly smile.

Perhaps, with this genetic sample, she could gain entry into the Sisters Famulous and become one of the noble sisters—ascending into the upper echelons of society.

"We? But where do we have anything to store his genetic material?" Elena looked at herself in confusion.

Atoria smiled slightly and pointed at Elena's lower abdomen—then pointed at her own.

"You! I… Th-This… Y-You mean to store his genetic material that way?!" Elena's face suddenly turned bright red, her voice filled with embarrassment.

At that moment, the young hospitaller sister Elena understood what Atoria meant by storage method.

Strictly speaking, they could each carry a sample.

And their own genes were relatively pure as well—anyone who joined the Adepta Sororitas had to have acceptable genetics.

But there were still probabilistic factors involved. Collecting two samples would ensure a higher success rate.

"There's no other way. I don't want to do this either, but this is an emergency. Are you willing to discard the genetic seed of a brave Astartes who died in battle?" Atoria said.

"We cannot abandon the pure human genetic material, but we also cannot abandon the genetic seed of a great Space Marine."

"So… how do we explain this to him?" Elena asked.

Should they just walk up to him and say:

"Hello, sir! We need to obtain some of your genetic material. Could you please cooperate?"

"I believe he will agree. After all, this is for the Imperium."

"Sacrifice is the foundation of the Imperium. We can make a small sacrifice, and he must also sacrifice something. His bloodline will continue."

Most importantly, this was their chance to join the Sisters Famulous!

"Alright! I'll go talk to him!" Elena took a deep breath and gathered her courage.

"No, I'll handle it. You'll just scare him," Atoria smiled and patted Elena's shoulder.

That young man had already been startled by Elena earlier. If she went, he would definitely refuse.

Atoria turned off the soundproofing device, stood up, and gracefully walked toward Rhodes.

Rhoes looked at the scribe sister, who wore a bright, almost unsettling smile, and asked cautiously:

"Sister, is there something you need?"

That smile… that smile was way too fake!

It was like the smile of a beautiful woman trying to scam a rich man!

PS: Hey, its getting spicy.
