Bella Acker turned back, a smile on her face.
Her face was originally small, and now with the fine bangs cascading down, it looked even smaller. Yet her eyes were precisely big, round, and black, like a pair of smooth black gems, quite mesmerizing.
Moreover, her skin was excellent; even with the sunlight shining on it, it was so delicate that not a single pore could be seen.
Archer Quinn looked at the smile on her face, brighter than the sunlight, and suddenly felt a flutter in his heart, as if something wanted to break free.
"Senior Quinn?" Seeing him somewhat lost in thought, Bella Acker stopped in her tracks with a bit of confusion.
Archer Quinn smiled, caught up with her in two steps, and said, "I haven’t actually tasted it before; is it really that delicious?"
"Mm-hmm, so tasty." Bella Acker smiled, narrowing her large, round eyes, "I used to love it when I was young, but back then I didn’t have much money, couldn’t bear to buy it, so I’d secretly stand by and watch the boss fry squid, the aroma alone was very satisfying."
"Haha." Archer Quinn imagined that scene and couldn’t help but laugh.
Bella Acker blushed, a bit embarrassed, and chuckled, "It was pretty silly indeed."
"Not at all, very endearing." Archer Quinn stifled his laughter and said, "I used to like a set of castle molds when I was young, and would stand outside the display for ages every time I went to attend a tutoring session. One time, I happened to see a kid fussing to have his parents buy that set of castle molds, and I rushed into the store. The shop assistant and customer looked at me strangely, and once inside, I didn’t know what to do, just stood there, feeling quite foolish. I ended up crying."
"Really?" Bella Acker widened her eyes in disbelief; she imagined Archer Quinn to be raised delicately since childhood, having whatever he wanted, how could there be a time he couldn’t afford toys.
"Really." Archer Quinn sighed somewhat helplessly, "My mom didn’t like me playing with such things, so she never bought any for me."
"That’s rather unfortunate." Bella Acker nodded sympathetically, and turning around saw a small boutique nearby, her eyes sparkled with an idea, "Senior Quinn, wait for me outside for a moment."
"Alright." Archer Quinn assumed she was buying some girlish items and thoughtfully didn’t follow her in.
Bella Acker entered the boutique alone and immediately spotted a glass ball containing a small castle inside, "Boss, could you take that out for me to see?"
"Is it this one?" The boss stood on tiptoe to take down the glass ball, "This one can be lit up." Then, pulling out a plug and connecting it, the series of small lights inside the glass ball instantly lit up, illuminating the little castle brightly.
"It’s so beautiful, how much is it?"
"The price is tagged on top, sixty-eight bucks."
Bella Acker hesitated, "Could you make it a bit cheaper, boss?"
"We don’t haggle at this shop." The boss shook his head.
"Alright, I’ll take it." Bella Acker gritted her teeth, "This is a gift; could you wrap it nicely for me?"
"No problem." The boss nodded and took the glass ball for packaging.
Archer Quinn waited outside the shop for quite some time, until he heard the bell at the shop’s entrance jingling, and Bella Acker finally came out carrying a little purple bag.
"Senior Quinn, this is for you."
