A middle-aged man walked out of a room with drawn curtains, sat down behind an old wooden desk, and then looked up to ask, "What symptoms? Come on, take off your mask and open your mouth, let me see your tongue."
"Doctor, it’s not me, it’s her." Archer Quinn pulled Bella Acker to his side and said, "Her hand was scratched by a motorcycle just now. The motorcycle was quite dirty and rusty. Can you check if she needs a tetanus shot?"
Bella Acker cooperatively extended her hand for the doctor to examine.
The doctor took one quick look at her hand and released it, "It’s nothing, just a scratch. Put on a band-aid, and it’ll be fine."
"And the tetanus shot..."
Before Archer could finish his sentence, the middle-aged doctor, a bit impatient, interrupted, "Why a tetanus shot for such a slight scratch? Don’t scare yourself. Lawson, get them ten band-aids and disinfect this young lady’s wound."
The middle-aged doctor, sounding a bit helpless, looked at Archer Quinn, "Young man, it’s fine to worry about your girlfriend, but don’t scare yourself." After saying that, he walked away.
The assistant named Lawson brought iodine up to disinfect Bella Acker’s wound, sticking three band-aids side by side, and advised, "Replace the three band-aids tomorrow morning, and it should be nearly healed."
"Thank you," Bella Acker thanked him. "May I ask how much it costs in total?"
"Two bucks." Lawson glanced at Archer Quinn behind Bella Acker and whispered, "Your boyfriend sure is worried about you."
"No... no," Bella Acker quickly waved her hand to explain, "we’re just friends."
"Oh, so he’s pursuing you then?" Lawson, quite young and very curious, continued, "He looks pretty handsome, especially those eyes that look so much like Archer Quinn’s."
Not just similar, he is Archer Quinn!
Bella Acker was startled, fearing she would recognize Archer, so she didn’t dare to chat further and quickly paid, "Thank you." Then she turned to grab Archer Quinn’s arm and hurriedly pushed him out of the clinic.
"Phew, that scared me, almost got recognized." Bella Acker let out a sigh of relief, "Senior Quinn, do you always have to be this cautious when you go out?"
Archer found it amusing. He wasn’t actually afraid of being recognized. Instead, it was Bella Acker who was always worried about him being recognized, protecting him more like an assistant than his actual assistant did.
It felt a bit strange, but not bad.
Archer Quinn chuckled, "Actually, it’s not a big deal to be recognized. Fans at most will just want a photo or autograph."
"That’s different," Bella Acker shook her head, "one or two is fine, but if it causes chaos, it won’t be good for you. So it’s best not to be recognized. Let’s go, and have some takoyaki and fried squid." Saying that, she took the lead and walked ahead.
Archer Quinn watched her small figure and suddenly understood why his junior sister always entrusted him with taking care of her.
In this kind of situation, if it were any other slightly more scheming actress, they’d probably wish he would get recognized or, even better, caught in a few candid photos to post online for publicity. The benefits could be significant.
Yet she had none of those intentions and, instead, carefully avoided him being recognized, trying to protect him.
A truly peculiar little woman.
Archer Quinn chuckled to himself.
Bella Acker noticed he wasn’t catching up and turned back, "Senior Quinn, have you never tried takoyaki and fried squid before?"
