The first thought Movu had when he saw her was, she was very similar to an abandoned doll. He's not gay but spending a day with her made him want to own that doll. A human who he thought was similar to him, a dead-living kid. But she was different, she's very human. He took care of her, and she did the same.
They were living for one another or it was only him who was starting to live for her.
Ten years passed, his battle that he promised that he would end was near its end. A year or two from now, he could finally see her again. He wondered how much she had changed. Did she dye her hair as he did or did she grow a little taller or is she small as she was when they parted? It was rough when he came back, he was monitored for everything he did. He couldn't find her or send her any message or just see her even for a moment.
But his old man is weakening, and he's gaining a lot of power. He managed to get on his side those who could fight with Don Falcon through money and. Years of going on under the tables to have what he has at this present moment. He had done everything accordingly to have a life with her, a life that he could say that she would not suffer from any casualties. And become a person worthy of her, when this was all over and done. No violence nor bad things could hurt her.
In fact, he could only just run away from his father and be with her, he would do it. He met with his trusted friend and asked him to look for the whereabouts of his beloved. He waited for ten years, one or two wasn't that long, but he wanted to hear something from her. A piece of news from her would-be delightful but it was not really good news he wanted to hear.
"Why are you looking for her?" Franco, the friend who was not expecting him to come over puffed a cigarette the moment he heard the name Movu was searching for. They've met in one business in a foreign country, they got along since Movu was half Filipino as he is.
He knew that Movu was a big shot person, his power and name from the underworld were well-known. As soon as he returned to his father's lair he started having his name to the underworld. He was surprised that Movu traveled here in the Philippines to look for a woman.
Movu creased his brows, "You know her?" Movu didn't foresee that Yanarym's name would be that popular for Franco to figure it out the seconds he told him her name.
"Of course, Clarence, she's a hot stuff right now." Franco put his cigarette on the ashed tray and glided his swivel chair to his computer.
"What do you mean?" Movu walked in his direction and watched the computer screen displaying Yanarym's recent photo that was posted on social media. Movu's eyes brightened as he peered at her face, she was smiling blissfully and it turns out she had changed too. She is still gorgeous as she was, she gained weight and she knows how to smile lovingly.
"Well, one of the notorious detectives who were in charge caught the seven drug lords that no one could touch but he did. He put them behind the bars." Franco said and clicked his mouse, the photo showed a young man that was with Yanarym.
"What does he have to do with her?" Movu's smile disappeared and gawked at the young man's arm that was wrapped around her shoulder.
"She's his girlfriend, anyone on the underworld wanted to get their hands on her but she is a high profile too. Graduated from the police academy with a very high standing and at the present became known as the main intelligence of Lawrence's unit. You're not the only one who inquired for her, the difference is that you didn't ask for her detective boyfriend." Movu was quiet after hearing the intel.
Yanarym has a boyfriend. He laughed, an ominous laugh. Of course, she would have a boyfriend, it's been years with no news from him. She was no fool to wait for him. They made a promise, but it was more like a childhood wish and that was decades ago. Who could wait for ten years for a person who vanished into thin air?
"How long have they been together?" He asked with a grin on his face but darkness in his eyes. Franco had no idea what turbulence was going on in Movu's head. But he could feel the chills down on his spine.
"They celebrated their anniversary two months ago, from what I heard she helped him on the last five cases as his partner on the big cases. They are a power couple right now. This photo was uploaded by their department."
"More than a year?" Movu whispered through his breath. A power couple, Franco says, now he's very curious about her. His hand formed a fist and faked a smile. His woman... "Can I have her data?"
"Sure. I will give it to you for free. How about Lawrence?" Franco immediately printed every single detail he had about her. And sent him the intel via email.
