Movu took his phone and received Yanarym's information. He paused for a moment hearing a name. "Lawrence?"
"The detective?" Franco said and Movu just grinned, Lawrence? Huh… he doesn't need his information because Yanarym is his only goal. "No, I just need hers."
Lawrence was watching Yanarym's slumbering face while his car was parked on the available lot. He turned off the radio and maxed out the volume of the air conditioner. He was smiling from ear to ear and caressing her hair with full affection. For the past months, he's been living a dream, his job, his friends, his family, especially his love was all in the right places. It was like he was blessed for the whole year that everyone was going on his way.
Lawrence successfully achieved everything he wanted. He's escalating his promotion to the top and his girlfriend has been supported all throughout. Yanarym was like his good luck charm, as long as she was on his side, nothing was going wrong. He planted kisses on her forehead silently, fearing that she would wake up. He didn't know since when he started to think that, he couldn't live a day without her by his side. And now, just sending her off to have a vacation was hard for him to do, but she needed time to rest. If only he could be with her, he would do so, but his next assignment would be more complex and by that time, she was no longer with him. He wondered how much he would miss her just waking up in the morning without her.
He used his thumb to caress her cheek and trailed every corner of her facial features. From her eyebrows to her lips. Those lips which always look appetizing. He sighed and couldn't help himself but to lean on and taste her.
"I love you." A kiss was bestowed on Yanarym's lips upon waking up. She rolled her eyes around and saw that she's still in Lawrence's car. "Awake my sleeping beauty?" He smiled and kissed her on the cheeks before moving away.
"Did we just arrive?"
"No, we're here for more than an hour." He answered truthfully and made sure that he was extra careful with his tone. He doesn't want her to get mad at him. Especially that they were parting for a whole week.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" She yawned and looked around to get her bag in the back seat.
"Because you look tired." Lawrence used his baby tone to make himself an understanding boyfriend at the same time for Yanarym not to be angry at him. Which was effective because she smiled and messed up with his hair.
"I stayed up all night preparing your next case." She murmured and fixed her position. "Everything was piled up on your desk and Jana had prepared the presentation for your meeting."
"I see, I told you, you didn't have to do that." He uttered and gave her a bottle of water. Yanarym took it and drank it before removing her seatbelt.
"I wanted to help you, and this is all I can do before leaving your department."
"I'm sorry Rym, I can't let you work there anymore. Your wound is still visible, because of me you were in danger… " Lawrence touched her arm, she was shot on the recent assignment. Because of that incident, everyone agreed that she should stop working at the police department and just help the family manage the business.
Lawrence, seconded by the family's decision, loves his job and he understands that Yanarym was not willing to end her career from this point but he couldn't bear to see or imagine what would happen if she was shot in a critical area of her body.
"It's our job, stop blaming yourself. Help me with the baggage at the back of the car."
"You're leaving?"
"I'm late already, Kuya and Zen would be worried."
"I miss you already." He embraces her and pulls her to sit on his lap. He showered her kisses, tightening his grip on her. "I want to go with you."
"You can't, Kuya will not be happy to see you." He sighed, surely Yashnile was mad at Lawrence for not being able to protect her from a gunshot.
"It's better for you to quit." He said in a serious tone which killed the atmosphere. Yanarym got back from her seat and frowned. "This job is too dangerous for you."
"You all said the same thing, and I understand. I will just rest for a while and I will be back once I am okay."
"Or you could just work for your brother." She sighed.
"Let's not argue about this Law. I want to live the life I want."
"Okay, I will not fight with you." He surrendered and kissed her hand, "I love you, okay?"
"Me too." She muttered and Lawrence did not say anything to make her irritated. He took her baggage on the back of the car and she followed up.
He strolled her bag up to the entrance of the airport before embracing her again. "I already really miss you. Take care on your vacation, okay?" She smiled at him and kissed him on his lips.
"I will, bye. I love you, I love you too." She texted Yashnile that she was on the way to the island. There was a family vacation, it was actually more like reviewing their own business resort before it opens to the public.
She heard the report regarding Movu and couldn't help but smile. He's coming to get her, finally. She's been playing police for the past months with Lawrence and she could say that everything went well, she handled the brothers just fine. She's been living with Lawrence, and they gave her permission to stay with him. For Yashnile, if he didn't realize his desire for her, he wouldn't be able to allow her to leave his roof yet the timing was right.
