Just as the bonfire was burning brightly, a dull clap of thunder echoed.
A streak of purple lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, and right after, a sudden downpour came crashing down.

Everyone could only sprint toward the hot spring town at the foot of the mountain.

“Just wandering. Enjoying the rain. Don’t girls always say rainy days are the most romantic?”
“Then invite Feng too, and Ding Yue.”
He walked out to find Gao Wenkai.
While he was gone, Huang Qi stuffed her wet shorts and T-shirt into Jiang Zhou’s bed.
Tonight, when he lay down, he’d think he wet the bed. Hahaha!
Just as she was laughing, Jiang Zhou returned.
“What are you laughing at?”

“He said he feels like an outsider, so he went to crash with Zhang Guangfa on the floor.”
“But his luggage’s still here.”
“I’ll take it to him. You go hang out with Feng for a while.”

The three exchanged looks and sighed in defeat. They had been looking forward to the hot spring trip for a whole week.
But now, the trip was nearly over, and they were still single dogs.
Jiang Zhou sat down on the bed. “Didn’t you guys prepare props? Still useless, huh?”
Xu Haodong groaned. “If the Dragon King won’t bless us, what can we do?”
“Grow old alone. Anyway, I’m off.”

The hot spring inn was large, stretching from south to north in a long corridor of rooms.
Xu Haodong and the others stayed in the first southern room.
Feng Siruo’s was the third room up north.
On his way there, Jiang Zhou happened to bump into Qu Xiaoya, freshly changed.
They froze when their eyes met. The atmosphere grew heavy.
“Class rep, what’s wrong?”
She bit her lip. “That paper ball the other day. It was me who threw it to you.”
Jiang Zhou blinked. “So it was you. Did you need something that day?”
“If it’s just to thank me for helping promote the hot spring town, don’t bother. I’m not used to hearing too many thanks.”
He smiled and walked past her.
She stood frozen, staring at his fading back, looking so forlorn.
What a cold man. He didn’t even give her a chance to confess.
Maybe her idea of love was just too naive. Liking someone, especially someone like Jiang Zhou, wasn’t simple at all.
With a sigh, she slipped back into her room.
