The next morning, the weather was quite good.
There were still three hours left before the venture capital conference began. Jiang Zhou packed all the documents and project reports into the trunk of his car. Then, he sat on the sofa at the Ganfanren headquarters and made himself a cup of tea.
Looking for investors wasn’t something where being early meant getting more. Jiang Zhou wasn’t in a rush. He planned to rest a little before leaving. Otherwise, he’d just be waiting around.
By then, Su Nan, Han Rou, and Feng Siruo had all arrived one after another. Compared to Jiang Zhou, their expressions looked far more nervous.
“Boss, do you have confidence?” Su Nan asked.
Jiang Zhou glanced at her. “This is my first time dealing with something . I’m going in blind. What confidence do you expect?”
Han Rou clenched her fists. “It’s fine, brother. Just show them the same skill you used when tricking Fang Youcai.”
“Those investors are all old foxes though,” Jiang Zhou replied. “They’re not comparable to trash like Fang Youcai.”
“Then what do we do?”
“Since we’re already at this point, we just charge forward with our eyes closed. If we can’t get funding, then we’ll shut down.”
Just as he said that, the wind chimes at the door jingled.
The group thought it was Yan Weimin arriving. But when they turned around, it wasn’t him.
Instead, two men in dark blue uniforms entered.
After glancing around the room, they fixed their eyes on Jiang Zhou.
“Hello, are you the person in charge of Ganfanren.com?” one of them asked.
Jiang Zhou was slightly surprised. “And you are…?”
“We are law enforcement officers from the Food Supervision Bureau. My name is Du Weiliang. We have an investigation that requires your cooperation.”
The three girls froze. After all, they hadn’t yet stepped into society.
They had never encountered an official bureau before. To them, the words “law enforcement officers” sounded like a line out of a TV drama.
But Jiang Zhou frowned, sensing something bad.
Ganfanren had been smooth sailing ever since it was founded.
But maybe today was the day trouble arrived.
“What exactly are you investigating?”
Du Weiliang pulled out a summons. “We received a report that you are suspected of involvement in a food poisoning case. We need to bring you in for questioning.”
Jiang Zhou frowned and stood up. “I only provide delivery services. Shouldn’t food poisoning be the restaurant’s responsibility?”
“We’ve already collected samples from the restaurant and tested them. There were no problems.”

Han Rou reacted first, rushing to the school gate to catch a taxi.
Su Nan and Feng Siruo, meanwhile, retrieved the documents from Jiang Zhou’s trunk.
“Feng, can you stay here and watch the place?” Su Nan asked.
Feng Siruo nodded. “I’ll wait for him to come back.”
Su Nan gave a strained smile. “That guy’s luck has always been good.”
“Then I’ll leave it to you.”
With that, Su Nan ran off with the documents.
