At the desk, the manager handed the two marriage certificates to the couple and also offered his congratulations.
As Gu Qiangwei took the unfamiliar red booklet and opened it, what struck her eyes was the conspicuously noticeable photo.
Surprisingly, she was the only one smiling!
In the photo, Gu Qiangwei was smiling blissfully, whereas Qin Sijue had an entirely frosty expression.
But, was this marriage certificate fake? Yet, it looked so real…
Lost in her thoughts, Qin Sijue had already risen and was walking toward the outer hall.
Seeing this, Gu Qiangwei hurriedly followed.
Luo Chen was a step later; he turned to face the manager, “Mr. Qin is in a secret marriage, remember to keep your mouth shut.”
Meeting Luo Chen’s gaze, the manager immediately understood and nodded repeatedly, “Understood, understood! I assure you I won’t speak of it!”
After giving his directions, Luo Chen turned and left as well.
What puzzled him, however, was why Mr. Qin would register a marriage with Miss Gu. Was it to appease the old mistress?
But would the old mistress be satisfied with a bride she didn’t personally choose?
The future mistress of the Qin family wasn’t a position that could be taken so lightly.
Walking out of the civil affairs bureau, Gu Qiangwei was still in a daze.
She had never imagined that she would get married right after graduation, even though the marriage was fake!
She put away the marriage certificate, then turned to the man in the driver’s seat, “Where are we going now?”
“Even though it’s a fake marriage, we still need to ‘make believe’,” he seemed to perceive her confusion.
In the blink of an eye, the limited edition Bugatti Veyron once again entered Jueyuan, and it was already 4:28 PM.
Upon entering the living room, Qin Sijue headed straight for the second floor.
Gu Qiangwei, dragging her luggage, hadn’t anticipated that, after all the twists and turns, she would end up back here.
“Mis Gu, let me take those.” The butler approached Gu Qiangwei, warmly taking her suitcase from her.
Her repeated arrivals and departures from Jueyuan seemed not to surprise him anymore.
Hearing this, Qin Sijue, who was ascending the stairs, suddenly stopped, turned, and looked down from his elevated position overseeing all the servants in the living room, including Qin Bo.
“From now on, she is the mistress of this house.”
A statement fell lightly, the maids in Jueyuan daring not show the slightest surprise, but Qin Bo was indeed shocked!
Although he could tell Miss Gu held a special place in Young Master’s heart, how had she so swiftly become the mistress of Jueyuan?
Looking up again, Qin Sijue’s tall figure had already disappeared around the corner of the upstairs staircase.
Qin Bo came back to his senses, glanced at Gu Qiangwei, then turned to address the chambermaids in the living room, “From now on, call her Young Madam!”
The maids, lined up in two rows, immediately bowed and chorused in unison upon hearing Qin Bo’s words.
Carrying the suitcase and heading upstairs, the butler hesitated in the corridor.
Although Miss Gu was now the mistress here, where should her belongings be placed? The Young Master’s master bedroom?
“Put them in the master bedroom.”
Still indecisive, another deep voice came from the doorway of the study.
Both turned their heads, only to see Qin Sijue emerge from the study.
After nodding, Qin Bo carried Gu Qiangwei’s luggage into the master bedroom.
Qin Sijue merely glanced indifferently at Gu Qiangwei, then strode past her, heading downstairs.
Gu Qiangwei felt that Jueyuan was just like a palace, overwhelmingly magnificent and so vast she could get lost!
