Having packed up her things, she descended the stairs to find that Qin Sijue had already left the living room.
The butler approached.
For a moment, Gu Qiangwei was still unaccustomed to this unusual address and paused before realizing that the butler was addressing her.
She turned around, about to speak, but momentarily didn’t know how to address the middle-aged man before her.
Seeing her hesitation, the butler seemed to understand the reason.
“You can just call me Butler Qin, the Young Master calls me that too,” he said.
With a name to use, it became much easier for Gu Qiangwei to speak.
“Is he not here?” she looked around, but still didn’t see Qin Sijue.
“The Young Master had to attend to some matters at the company. Before he left, he instructed us to ask what you would like for dinner so that we can prepare it,” explained the butler.
Gu Qiangwei paused. She had wanted to ask him how long this pretend marriage was going to last. She couldn’t possibly stay here forever, always playing the role of his ‘fake wife’.
“Anything is fine for me,” she responded.
“Then I will see to the preparations,” Butler Qin said politely.
Butler Qin turned to leave, but then as if remembering something, he turned back and faced Gu Qiangwei.
“Oh, right! The Young Master asked me to give this to you!”
Gu Qiangwei looked down following his gaze and saw that Butler Qin was holding a set of car keys.
She looked up puzzled, eyeing Butler Qin.
Butler Qin smiled warmly, “It’s quite far to the city from here, and the Young Master was concerned that you might find it inconvenient to travel, so he has assigned this car to you.”
As he spoke, he passed the car keys to Gu Qiangwei.
Gu Qiangwei took the keys, and it was a Ferrari!
She really felt at ease—wasn’t he afraid that she might just sell it?
Er, it seemed like it wouldn’t sell!
If she was going to live here from now on, she really did need a car for convenience.
And, she still had to go to the Zuixian Residence tonight; without a car, she wouldn’t be able to make it.
“Thank you,” she said with a smile.
Butler Qin appeared flattered.
“You are the mistress of this house; there’s no need to thank us servants.”
Gu Qiangwei smiled, finding Butler Qin to be a very easy person to get along with.
Gu Qiangwei, who hadn’t bathed all day, went upstairs to take a shower, and by the time she emerged, the sky outside the window had darkened.
Checking the time, it was already six forty.
“Knock, knock, knock!”
A knocking sound came from the door, and Gu Qiangwei walked over to it.
Opening the door, she saw Butler Qin standing there.
Butler Qin smiled, “Young Madam, dinner is ready.”
Descending the stairs, Gu Qiangwei had changed into a fresh, neat outfit, looking crisp and rejuvenated!

She couldn’t understand why they set the meeting for so late.
Arriving at the dining hall downstairs, Qin Sijue still hadn’t returned, so she dined alone at the table.
After dinner, it was already past seven.
Just stepping out of the living room, her phone started ringing.
Looking at the caller ID, she picked up.
Over the phone, Shen Mochen’s voice was very gentle, “Didn’t I say you can just call me by my first name?”
Gu Qiangwei smiled, “Sorry, I always forget!”
Because she had gotten used to it during college and couldn’t change this habit even after graduation.
Shen Mochen laughed, not pursuing the topic further.
“President Huang from M country is at the Zuixian Residence tonight, I heard you are going there as an interpreter?”
“Who asked you to go?” That President Huang had a libertine nature, always indulging in pleasures of the flesh—a typical lecher!
