He Jingyao reached out to wipe the corner of her mouth, speaking softly, “Zhixi, I really have to go now.”

He Jingyao chuckled, bending down to kiss her eyes and lips, “Sleep well, I’ll come to keep you company in a couple of days.”
After speaking, he tucked her in, adjusted the room’s heat to a more comfortable temperature, and then turned to leave.
Uncle Li was still standing in the living room with respectful obedience.
He Jingyao walked up to him, “Be ready to prepare hot meals, Zhixi will be hungry when she wakes up.”
“Of course,” Uncle Li wasn’t at all surprised, “Young Master, are you heading back now?”
“Yes,” He Jingyao rubbed his temples, recalling the interrogation he would face from his father once he returned, and couldn’t help but click his tongue lightly, “Take good care of her, and call me right away if anything comes up.”
“Rest assured,” Uncle Li said with a slight smile.
Su Zixi felt as if she had a dream that was both exhausting and protracted.
In the dream, someone whispered something in her ear, the voice deep and gentle, and there were kisses soft as feathers landing on her face.
She tried hard to open her eyes to see who was speaking to her, but unfortunately, she failed.
Later, all the sounds and light faded away, and Su Zixi finally fell completely into a sweet, dark slumber.
As the First Lady, Chu Jinyu usually had a very busy schedule, often flying around to participate in activities or accompanying the President to receive foreign guests. She also needed to initiate and partake in all matters related to women, children, and education.

“Of course not, I was just feeling bored by myself,” Chu Jinyu responded with a smile, gesturing for her to come closer, “I’m on good terms with your mother-in-law, so there’s no need for formalities. You’re such a beautiful girl; Yichen is indeed lucky.”
Only then did Su Lianxi walk over with a smile, taking a seat opposite Chu Jinyu, her right hand, adorned with a ring, inadvertently placed on the table, “At the dinner last time, I was so captivated by the Madam’s grace that I couldn’t forget it and hence took the liberty to disturb you.”
