Ning Yichen chuckled quietly. He and Yun Shenhan were different; Su Zixi had truly liked him, but unfortunately, their feelings had never aligned properly.
“I should get going,” he said as he put down his glass, “Tomorrow, Duke Leslie from Country S is visiting, and I am responsible for hosting his family.”
“Ah, this Duke Leslie is said to be something,” Yun Shenhan immediately perked up, “I heard he’s the richest man in Country S, owning thousands of islands.”
“Right, he also has a daughter, supposedly planning to find a son-in-law for her. Are you interested in becoming a live-in son-in-law?” Ning Yichen smiled as he spread his hands.
Yun Shenhan’s eyes narrowed, and he said irritably, “Get lost.”
