Gu Annan had just sent a message to Zhao Chen when his gaze shifted to the woman on top of him.
Her fair face was flushed, her black eyes seemed to shimmer with a faint mist, and her long lashes quivered like tiny feathers, reaching straight to the heart. He swallowed, his eyes immediately darkened, and his handsome face became incredibly taut.
The silence led Lu Wanwan to believe she had her answer, and she quickly looked away.

She had been held in his arms all the way here, even sitting on his lap in the car.

Besides, sitting didn’t feel good; it was like a fever, her temperature rising.
“Sit still,” he commanded in a low voice, his arm circling her even tighter, with no intention of letting go.
“How can I sit still if you don’t let go!” protested Lu Wanwan, struggling to free herself from the heat of his body, feeling stifled, “My legs are fine!”
“Behave, don’t move!” his voice was even lower, more pressing.
“What, if I move, will you throw me out of the car? You…”
Suddenly, her lips were sealed with a kiss, muffled words unable to escape.
Her hands, which had been pushing against his chest, froze in place, appearing as though they were embracing and kissing in his arms.
Stunned for a moment by the kiss, Lu Wanwan’s eyes widened as she looked at him.
Her gaze collided with his deep, dark eyes, slightly narrowed, shining with a beauty like the night. Warning, threat, even seduction… it was as though countless emotions were conveyed through his eyes in the midst of the kiss.
She immediately became docile, hoping he would stop this punitive kiss.

As soon as she finished speaking, she saw his unfathomable eyes turn towards her and wished she could take back her words.
