Their brand had barely sneakily bought trending searches to diss Rong Yan for not being A-list enough, when stories were spread that the brand looked down on using Rong Yan, preferring to terminate the contract and replace him.
Then, before you know it, a brand twice as prestigious picked Rong Yan as their spokesperson for the very same type of chocolate and released the advertisement on the same day as them.
This was more than a slap in the face, it was like rubbing their brand’s face on the ground.
If they had chosen a slightly inferior brand, they wouldn’t have been put on the back foot , but the problem was this brand wasn’t just inferior, it also had an impressive background.
Facing off with this brand in a competition, now that was troublesome.
Rong Weiwei and the top brass of the brand all had unpleasant expressions, one clenched her fists, the other gritted his teeth; both dismissed the staff around them and started looking at the online comments.
Rong Weiwei first watched the advertisement released by JS.
The JS advertisement didn’t have as much of a storyline as the one she shot, it simply showed a woman receiving a box of chocolate. As the lights of a thousand homes twinkle, she opens the package, takes a bite of the chocolate, and an instant bloom of a smile spreads across her face.
On top of the chocolate there’s also a diamond ring, with the brand’s capital letters logo at the end: “Faithful to one person for a lifetime!”
The logo and the woman’s happy smile complement each other brilliantly.
Those long, swan-like neck and stunningly beautiful face were absolutely captivating.
Rong Weiwei’s face darkened as she watched the entire advertisement.
As a celebrity, she’s filmed countless commercials and magazines. She has a keener eye than the average person for the sophistication of things.
After watching JS’s entire advertisement, all she could feel was elegance and composure enveloping her; compared to it, the advertisement she shot for the chocolate brand seemed way too ‘affected’.
What was originally meant to enhance the value of the chocolate now seemed like overkill.
Put simply, after watching both advertisements. When she saw JS’s ad, she knew instantly that this chocolate must cost at least several hundred to purchase.
But looking at their own ad, it felt like you could get a big box for just a few dozen bucks at the supermarket.
That’s the difference!
It felt like there was a blockage in her chest. She took a deep breath and clicked on the comments below.
