Chapter 11 - [Light and Darkness!]
[Hey! Wake up! It's time for morning prayers!](Elios)
'Hmm?'(Noah)
The words appeared in Noah's vision, as he slowly drifted off from his sleep. And then opening his eyes, he found himself sleeping on a bed, in a room that was barely enough to fit it.
"It wasn't a dream?"(Noah)
A bit groggy, Noah held his head for a few seconds before looking at the bedside on one side and another at the other corner near the window. Slowly standing up, his eyes then looked at the screen where Elios was asking him to wake up before he recalled yesterday's events.
He died and woke up in this kid's body, and then had to fight his way out of the dungeon. From there he was saved by two movie star-like weirdos who took him here to this unnecessarily large temple. And finally by following Elios' directions, he was able to reach into his room where he finished the rest of his sleep.
"Unnecessarily tiring," Noah mumbled with a sigh before he focused on the more pressing matters.
There were a couple of stupid unexplainable things which he had left before that he could now freely ask that guy, Elios. The one who was guiding him through this stuff.
Although Noah could have escaped that place on his own, there was a high chance he would have died without the help of Elios. Hence there was some trust he could show to this guy who talked to him in this strange manner.
[Aren't you going to pray? We need to build Karma! Come on now! It's our chance to use spells that I always wanted to use! Even a simple Light spell will do, so pray fast!](Elios)
Elios was like a child who had gotten his first gift or something. He was excited to find out everything about this system and how he can utilize it but Noah didn't really bother with it. His priorities were different right now.
"There is something that I wanted to ask. Are you really okay with this?"(Noah)
[Huh?](Elios)
"I mean, the current conditions. I pity you for the way you are. Don't you think so, too?"(Noah)
[...](Elios)
A few seconds of silence before Elios answered.
[It hurt in the beginning. Even though I was somewhat abnormally calm, I could feel the fear seeping into me. This isn't a situation I can accept. Especially when I had no idea what kind of person was trying to take over my body](Elios)
[But then... I saw you. Talked with you. Felt your emotions. You may not know this but I could feel your soul and the way you felt when you were killing them. You were worried for them, perhaps their families. You were wondering if they had any kids and if you were making anyone orphans... It was honestly heartwarming.](Elios)
"..."(Noah)
[You don't know me, Noah. And honestly, I don't either. I am a kid who loves magic, and wants to do good with it. Or create something that would be better for the world. Other than that I have barely any attachments left. I am fine with the way things are.](Elios)
Elios then began telling him about the white world and the way it works, which made Noah jealous a bit. But then, since it was like that, Noah felt at ease after this conversation.
[What about you, Noah? Are you happy with the way things are?](Elios)
"I am not," Noah answered without any hesitation. But then he sighed before adding,"but at least it's not as bad as my last one."
There was a distant look on his face, the winds fluttering against his hair before he sighed and then asked,"tell me more about this world. It's laws and rules, and everything you know. Since I am going to be here for the time being, I might as well try to adjust with it."
[Prayer first! I want to see that Karma stuff!](Noah)
"All right. All right. I'll do that then."(Noah)
Under the guidance of Elios, Noah prayed silently for the next few minutes with diligence. And once he was done with it...

And before Noah could even say anything...

Cost: 1 MP per second!]
A simple spell with minimum utility. But that was enough to make Elios smile from ear to ear. He patiently waited for Noah to use that magic and understanding his intentions, Noah sighed again before using it.
[Light!]
[Darkness!]
For a few seconds, in the right hand of Noah there was darkness and in the left, Light. He observed it for a few moments before letting the spell go.
And as he was about to talk to Elios, he found the right hand glowing with Light, and the left with darkness. Though it vanished in the next moment as Elios, too, let go of that magic.
[Seems like I can use the spells just fine. Though I couldn't use it before you did it? Hmmm... seems like there needed to be at least an Inertia. Interesting.](Elios)
"Can you explain, now?"(Noah)
[Sure. Just pick up another set of clothes from the closet below the bed and move outside for a quick wash. I'll explain everything as you do.](Elios)
