Ye Wanwan gave it some thought. He Qingyun was indeed a rather enigmatic woman. Since it wasn’t because of her fondness for Shen Yi, there was no reason for her to cause so much trouble when he had done nothing to offend her.
Ye Wanwan couldn’t figure it out, and Shen Yi had been having someone investigate the matter, but they never came to any conclusion.
So, in the end, Ye Wanwan tacitly agreed with Shen Yi’s arrangements.
After that day of heavy rain, the weather in Beijing grew colder day by day until the last day of December, when the first snow of winter arrived.
Ye Wanwan and Yu Qiqi were lying on the table in front of their office’s floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the snowfall while drinking hot coffee—utterly comfortable.
Later, Yu Qiqi took out her phone and started snapping pictures of the snowy scenery outside the window. After that, she took a couple of shots of Ye Wanwan.
"Look, I did a good job, didn’t I?" Yu Qiqi came over to Ye Wanwan’s side, held up her phone in front of her, and showed her the photos.
Ye Wanwan looked at the pictures Yu Qiqi had taken—ones where she was holding a coffee while looking at the snow scene outside, which created a cozy atmosphere.
"Send me the pictures." Ye Wanwan expressed her satisfaction with Yu Qiqi’s photography skills.
Yu Qiqi sent the pictures to Ye Wanwan promptly. Without even saving them, Wanwan directly forwarded the pictures to Shen Yi, and then she put down her phone, with no intention of waiting for a reply.
Shen Yi had been away on a business trip for half a month. Initially, he was within the country. He returned for Christmas, and Ye Wanwan thought he had finished his work.
But it turned out Shen Yi had only come back to play Santa Claus for her. He had prepared a Christmas gift, had dinner with her, and then flew abroad that very night.
Su Hang came running over to discuss with the two of them how they should spend the evening. Yu Qiqi was conflicted and turned to ask Ye Wanwan, "What about you? Do you have any ideas?"
Since Shen Yi was not around and Ye Wanwan had no other plans, she decided to spend New Year’s Eve with a few colleagues.

Su Hang said, "I’m afraid I’m not qualified to go in there."

Before Su Hang could explain, Yu Qiqi clapped her hands, looped her arm around Wanwan, and said with an exaggerated tone to Su Hang, "What nonsense are you spouting? Is our Miss Ye someone short of money?"
As Yu Qiqi spoke, she winked at Su Hang. After all, as colleagues, they shared some understanding, and Su Hang immediately caught on.

Ye Wanwan was amused. At first, she didn’t catch on and just thought to go along with Yu Qiqi’s wish to hit a bar.
"Alright, alright. Follow the missus tonight, and you’ll be fine, okay?" Ye Wanwan patted her chest with the air of a big sister.
Yu Qiqi immediately hugged Ye Wanwan’s arm and rubbed against it, "My little darling, I really, really love you!"
At six in the afternoon, a group of five left the office on time. When they got to the front of the Galaxy Entertainment office building, Uncle Zhang was already waiting for them at the roadside with his car.
Ye Wanwan had booked the restaurant in advance. Upon getting into the car, she told Uncle Zhang the address. The roads were particularly congested that day, but they were all talking and laughing, which made the traffic bearable.
