Brian James’s eyes revealed a hint of contemplation, "Martin Baker said it was Shirley Miller who introduced you to the Miller Group. Do you have a deep relationship with her?"
Carson Flores stared coldly at Brian James, "You seem not to understand the current situation. Maybe I should make things clear for you."
Brian James was suddenly startled back to reality, realizing that his life was in the hands of the man before him.
He had no right to ask questions.
"I have no grudge against the Miller Family, but someone made a deal with me. If I could drive Shirley Miller out of the Miller Group and acquire her shares, I would get a big project and make a lot of money. If I could destroy Shirley Miller completely, I would receive even bigger benefits," he said.
Carson Flores was slightly shocked. There was someone behind Brian James?
Brian James shook his head, "I don’t know. A few months ago, when I was bidding for a project, someone suddenly approached me with this proposal. I was skeptical, but they said that if I agreed, they would let me win the bid and secure the project."

Brian James said with a wry smile, "I suppose I’ll have to pay up. Besides, I’m close to losing my life, isn’t it right that I should worry about that first?"
Carson Flores stared at Brian James, "Is there any way to find out who that person behind you is?"
Brian James shook his head, "I asked, but they claimed they had no idea what I was talking about. Clearly, they either have special channels or simply don’t want to reveal their identity. In any case, I couldn’t find out."
Carson Flores nodded, thought for a few seconds as if he had nothing more to ask, then stood up from the chair, "In this world, some live in luxury while others in poverty, but there’s at least one fair thing -- whether rich or poor, everyone has only one life."
Carson Flores walked up to Brian James, his gaze cold, "You wanted my life, so I will take yours!"
Brian James’s face turned ashen, and he cried out in terror, "Don’t kill me, I’ll give you a hundred million!"
Carson Flores looked at him with scorn, "Money can buy many people’s loyalty, but right now, it can’t buy back your life. Go and repent at your leisure."
Carson Flores raised his hand and pointed at Brian James’s throat.
Brian James roared, "If you dare to kill me, my son will slay your entire family!"
Carson Flores’s hand paused at Brian James’s throat, and he asked calmly, "Sounds like your son is quite the fierce one?"
Sweat poured down like rain from Brian James as he threatened with a heavy voice, "My son is a Cultivator, initiated into the Yutian Sect. The Yutian Sect is a true Cultivator Sect. You may be a good fighter, but you’ll only meet your end against a real Cultivator. You might as well stop now. My previous offer still stands."
Brian James pointed at the open safe next to him, "All the money in there is yours, plus I’ll give you another hundred million and never bother you or Shirley Miller again. We can write off all prior incidents and leave each other alone, as if we’ve never met."
Carson Flores drew back his hand, stroked his chin thoughtfully, "The Yutian Sect, indeed a Sect of Cultivators. In that case, I’ll give you a chance. Call your son now."
Brian James was stunned, "What are you planning to do?"
Carson Flores smiled, suddenly stepped forward, and slapped Brian James several times, ending with his fingers posed like a sword at Brian James’s chest.
Brian James spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed, his body weakened.
Carson Flores stuffed the phone into Brian James’s hand and said indifferently, "You have about ten minutes of clarity left. Hurry up and call your son. At the very least, he should know who his enemy is, right?"
