Ji Niandong lifted her head, her face silent but expression extremely firm, as if she had made a significant decision: "I agree to marry you!"
Lu Beichen tilted his head, pressed his lips together to suppress a smile and said coldly, "How do I know if you truly wish to marry me willingly? What if after I perform the surgery for your father, you change your mind?"

Ji Niandong felt somewhat embarrassed, wanting to pull back, but the man pinched her leg sharply, signaling her to stay put.
"You’re about to become Mrs. Lu; if you keep acting shy , I’ll think you’re trying to seduce me, and who knows what I might do to you!"
With a slight smile on his lips, he spoke casually, causing Ji Niandong to tense up, not daring to move again.
