Lu Beichen finished giving Little Bun a bath and came out to see Ji Niandong immediately standing up from the sofa, clasping her fingers nervously like a child who had done something wrong.
She awkwardly waved her hand, "Hi, Little Uncle!"
Lu Beichen glanced at her and walked straight toward the room.
Ji Niandong saw he was ignoring her, so she tiptoed and jogged after him, still looking down and fidgeting with her nails.
Just as he locked the door and turned around, Lu Beichen suddenly stopped and looked at her. She ran right into his firm back, ouch!
Ji Niandong rubbed her nose. Seeing he was about to step away, she rushed over and hugged him, "Little Uncle, don’t ignore me!"
She coquettishly whined, her voice soft like a feather tickling at his heart, tingling.
He had only intended to see if she was okay after the collision, but the little woman suddenly held him , her softness pressed tightly against him. Lu Beichen sighed deeply.
Ji Niandong heard the sigh and became even more anxious, hugging him tightly and swaying a little, "Little Uncle, stop sighing, the more you sigh, the less you live! I know I was wrong!"
"What were you wrong about?" Lu Beichen’s lips held a hint of a smile, but his tone remained calm.
Ji Niandong replied cheekily, "I shouldn’t have lost my temper without figuring things out first!"
"Hmm!" Lu Beichen responded, "But, my Mrs. Lu has the right to lose her temper!"
Ji Niandong let go of him, leaned over to look at him sideways, "Little Uncle... does that mean you forgive me?!"
He pulled her in front of him to stand properly, "Did I say that? Mrs. Lu’s mistake wasn’t just losing her temper!"
Ji Niandong lowered her head again, her flushed face looking tender and sweet.
Lu Beichen bent down and gave her a quick kiss, "Mrs. Lu overturned the vinegar jar tonight, didn’t you?!"
His eyes were full of teasing laughter. It was only then that Ji Niandong realized, "Little Uncle, you’re teasing me!"
She lifted her hand to punch his shoulder with her little fist but he grabbed her wrist, pulling her into his embrace, and wrapped his other hand around her waist, sealing with a kiss!
His kiss was intense and powerful, and just as Ji Niandong was getting dizzy from it, he suddenly let go and whispered in her ear, "Seeing Mrs. Lu get jealous makes me happy. Back in Switzerland, when you trusted me with Tu Yingying, I thought Mrs. Lu didn’t care at all!"
"That’s... that’s because I know you wouldn’t like Tu Yingying, and since you consider her your sister, you can’t really ignore her. If she went back and complained to Second Aunt... I don’t want any discord at home." Ji Niandong rested her forehead against his chin and sincerely replied.
Her consideration was thoughtful. Lu Beichen chuckled, "Then why are you so upset today? Did you think I married you just because you and Nian Nian’s mom have similar eyes?"
