He was asking for forgiveness as a father!
Lu Sinian had stopped crying, but after hearing that, his eyes welled up again as he looked at him with tearful eyes.

Little Bun frowned and turned his head away proudly, "Fine, don’t tell me then! I’ll ask my mom later!"
As expected, Lu Beichen said nothing more, just continued bathing him.
Little Bun stared at him with furrowed brows for nearly a minute before hesitantly biting his lip and calling out, "Da... Dad? Do you like me?"
When Lu Beichen looked at him, he swiftly turned his head away again, making Lu Beichen burst into laughter, "Of course, if you keep calling me that, I’ll like you even more!"

"You’re getting cocky now, calling me Dad is a loss for you?" Lu Beichen tickled him, making Lu Sinian giggle and collapse, fearing he might slip into the water, Lu Beichen held him with one hand while continuing to tickle him with the other.
Lu Sinian laughed with a cackle, "Ah, it’s so ticklish, save me! Sister Tongtong, save me! Ah, so ticklish!"
"Is calling me Dad really a loss for you? Hmm?" Lu Beichen’s mischievous fingers pressed harder.
"Hahaha, no loss, hahaha, no loss, really no loss!" Little Bun surrendered completely.
"Then what will you call me in the future?"
