The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory Chapter 105

"You think this is ancient times!" Zuri Ginger scoffed incredulously, "Someone dies in the family and we have to mourn for three years?"

Mia Ginger thought for a moment, looking at her, "But I still want to try white again, is that okay?"

If she wore white, all the things she’d proclaimed earlier would turn into a joke?!

Zuri Ginger pursed her lips slightly, yet with an unconcerned smile on her face, she said offhandedly, "Well, ultimately it’s your decision."

She stepped towards the dressing room.

Mia Ginger watched her back, reaching out to switch the two glasses of orange juice.

Zuri’s gaze was a bit strange earlier, she personally brought up the orange juice; could she be trusted?

No telling what might be inside.

Better to be cautious.

Mia Ginger’s mind was running wild, and she caught sight of Sage’s startled expression, turning her head coldly to glance at her.

Sage quickly bowed her head.

Zuri Ginger took out a dress, and Mia Ginger stood up to gesture with it, holding the dress, she sat back down on the bench, hesitating again. After a moment of hesitation, she slowly sipped the orange juice beside her.

Zuri Ginger watched her calmly, also a bit nervous, and drank her own orange juice completely.

"Forget it, red is better, bright and cheerful, considered a good omen."

Mia Ginger hesitated for a while, then handed the white dress she was holding to Sage, asking her to put it back.

Zuri Ginger breathed a sigh of relief, glanced at the time on her phone, and stood up saying, "I’m heading down now; quite a few author friends have arrived, I need to greet them."

With that, she turned and left.

Ecstatic beyond measure.

The orange juice Mia Ginger drank was drugged, brought by an author friend "Grassy," and would take effect in about half an hour, coinciding with the start of the ball. Just thinking about Mia Ginger making a fool of herself in public filled her with satisfaction.

Mia Ginger stood up and took a few steps, feeling nothing unusual.

After all, she’d just taken a sip of the orange juice, she thought she might be overthinking it.

Sage stood quietly beside her with her head down.

Mia Ginger glanced at her, then smiled and said, "Go to the dressing room, help me change the dress."

"Ah?" Sage froze for a moment.

Mia Ginger didn’t say anything, she directly walked into the dressing room and took out the white dress Koa Jackson had prepared.

Charlotte Chester and Zuri Ginger had already helped her pick two good quality dresses at the mall, but compared to the one Koa Jackson had specially tailored, they still fell far short.

She was much slimmer than her peers, with a height of 1.65 meters, wearing M size dresses would appear slightly loose, inevitably a bit unsuitable, and couldn’t compare at all to something tailored to fit.

Sage helped her zip up the back.

Mia Ginger took off the red dress, and with Sage’s assistance, put on the knee-length white strapless dress.

She also chose a new pair of shoes.

Standing before the mirror, she checked her appearance again, turning her head to ask, "Does it look good?"

"It looks... looks good," Sage stammered a bit, "Second Miss looks pretty, anything she wears looks good."

"Better than the red one?" Mia Ginger was all smiles.

"Yes," Sage pressed her lips together, hesitated a little, and continued, "The red one is striking, but the white one matches Second Miss’s temperament better; it looks very fresh."

She genuinely thought Mia Ginger had good looks; at the very least, she was much prettier than Zuri Ginger.

Zuri’s looks were at best above average, benefiting from her temperament and reputation, whereas Mia Ginger was a natural beauty, with willow eyebrows, almond eyes, a straight and delicate nose, dewy pink lips, her features assembling to form a delicate and elegant face.

Just like a hand-drawn classical lady from a comic book.

"I also think white is good," Mia Ginger looked at the slightly made-up face in the mirror, sighed faintly, "After all, my foster mother just passed away, wearing such bright colors seems a bit heartless."

Sage didn’t know how to respond.
