He got up and glanced towards the bedroom.
Mia Ginger was still asleep.
Koa Jackson sighed and went out to prepare dinner.
Having lived abroad for more than ten years, he’s quite particular, and cooking isn’t a challenge for him.
By the time Mia Ginger woke up and freshened up, he had already made a vegetable salad, a fruit salad, fried eggs, mixed sauces, and even prepared bread, fried rice, two steaks, and an opened bottle of red wine.
All in all, it was a very hearty spread.
Mia Ginger stood by the dining table in her slippers, rubbed her eyes in disbelief, and gave him a look, "Brother Jackson, did you make all of this?"
Koa Jackson held her wrist and made her sit down, pushed a steak and fried rice in front of her, tapped the table, and said, "Eat up."
Mia Ginger looked carefully at it, and couldn’t help but swallow.
Embarrassed beyond measure.
She had never seen Koa Jackson cook, nor had she ever thought that someone like him would cook.
It completely blew her mind.
"The fruit salad is for you."
Koa Jackson pushed the fruit salad on the table towards her and picked up the wine glass beside him, sipping leisurely.
Mia Ginger looked at him thoughtfully and suddenly said, "I want to drink too."
"Yeah." Mia Ginger nodded, "Can I drink?"
"You can have a little."
Koa Jackson finished speaking, got up to get a clean glass from the cabinet, and returned.
He picked up the wine bottle and poured her a half glass.
Mia Ginger was drinking red wine for the first time. She had originally planned to try at a birthday party, but in a fit of rage, she splashed it on Grassy, and naturally lost all interest.
Lost in thought, she took a small sip.
The taste was mellow and smooth, with rich floral and fruity notes, quite intoxicating.
It was much better than she imagined.
She wasn’t picky, so she ate her rice and steak and unknowingly finished the half glass.
Seeing Koa Jackson leave with an empty plate, she took matters into her own hands, poured another half glass, and ate and drank until it was all gone.
When Koa Jackson returned, she was just pouring herself more.
Her demeanor was very casual, as if she was drinking cola.
Koa Jackson stared at her briefly, his gaze falling on the wine bottle.
Raising his brows slightly, he asked in surprise, "How much did you drink?"
"Not much." Mia Ginger smiled at him, "This is only the third glass."
Koa Jackson’s expression was a bit peculiar, and after a while, he sat pensively on the chair, taking the wine glass from her hand.
Not long after finishing her meal, Mia Ginger started showing signs of drunkenness.
She had changed into her own clothes after showering earlier, wearing his white shirt and large shorts, already looking a bit like a child wearing adult clothes.
Resting on the sofa for a while,
Koa Jackson kept an eye on her, promptly realizing it.
He pressed his fingertips on his brow, got up, and went to her, held her hand firmly and lowered his eyes, calling, "Mia Ginger."
"Brother Jackson?" Mia Ginger’s face flushed with red, she complained to him, "These aren’t my pants."
Koa Jackson looked into her eyes, knowing that the effects were kicking in.
Patiently explained, "Those are my pants; you wear them for now."
"Oh." Mia Ginger stood up, pulling the pants up, but suddenly felt something was off and frowned, "But why am I wearing your pants?"
